Why did you join Equitopia?

I joined because I liked the philosophy behind it.

What do you enjoy most about Equitopia?

The webinars and research revealed.. all of it really!

What do you love most about horsemanship?

Horses, their therapeutic qualities and the fact that you never stop acquiring knowledge.

How do you define success in horsemanship?

Forming a life long partnership based on mutual trust and not letting your personal goals override the needs of the horse.

Who inspires you – and why?

Right now? Emma Radacanu – need I say anymore?!

If you could choose anyone as a mentor, who would you choose?

Well, I would have to have more than one..so all the professionals who contribute to Equitopia and Hannah Weston and Rachel Bedingfield from Connection Training – I wish I had known about R+ training 30 years ago!

What’s one thing – either horse-related or not – you learned in the last month?

Having recently read Language Signs and Calming Signals of Horses by Rachael Draaisma, I have started implementing calming signals during training and general handling – wow- what a difference that has made!

What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?

I can juggle and I don’t mean metaphorically!

What’s your favorite book?

Wild Swans by Jung Chang.

What’s your favorite movie of all time?

Dirty Dancing.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A Mediterranean Mezze Platter.

If you were told you could say 1 thing that the entire horse world would act on, what would that be?

Give your horse time…lots of time.
