The Impact of Natural Crookedness on the Body of the Horse

Horses are born with a natural crookedness.

But what is suspected to be an advantage when fleeing from predators turns out to be somewhat of a problem in a ridden horse!

Join Dr Julianne Waas to learn about the impact of natural crookedness on the body of a horse.

A wide variety of effects of natural crookedness on a horse’s body can be identified, many of them interconnected in different parts of the body. To be able to recognize them gives you a hint of how far along you have come in straightening your horse through training (point 5 of the training scale for horses – not just dressage!).

It also tells you if and where you have to put in more work in straightening your horse. In the long run this will not only improve your test scores (if you are competing), it will most importantly give your horse a healthier, longer life with less degenerative processes showing up in joints, muscles and tendons.

If you have any questions, you will have the opportunity to ask Julianne during the presentation, or submit a question beforehand to info@equitopiacenter.com
